Duda en comprar objetivos varios !!!!!

Buenas noches a todos,

en el Black Friday me pille mi primera cámara una Olympus OMD EM10 Mark III + kit (14-42 II R + 40-150) y venía de regalo el 45mm 1.8 (me gusta mucho para retrato también he leído que el  75 mm F1.8 es una pasada pero de momento me conformo con el 45 1.8).

Ahora ando mirando que próximos objetivos me podría comprar.

Ahora estoy tentado para comprar el 17 1.8 por lo que he leído por el foto y por reviews y por youtube está muy bien para la fotografía urbana. O el M.Zuiko Digital 25 mm F1.8 ????
Yo estoy más por comprar el 17 1.8 y no comprar el 25 1.8

Que lente me recomendarías para paisajes ????? (que tal un M.Zuiko Digital ED 9-18 mm F4.0-5.6 ó un M.Zuiko - Objetivo Digital ED 12 mm F2.0. )

Y para fotografía de noche estrellas ????? (que tal un Laowa 7,5mm f2)

Luego una pregunta tonta que todo el mundo preguntará, páginas de esas que los objetivo son tan baratos, tiene truco ???? Te la juegas con la compra. (EglobalCentral, gangaelectronica, etc.)

Sobre Global Central: mucha gente aquí compra sus cacharros y parece que funciona.

No he comprado nunca  material fotográfico, pero recién  compré el Ipad 8 a un precio muy ventajoso.  Todo muy bien. Eso sí, tardó un mes en llegar.

Yo tengo el 'pankaka' 14-42mm, se estropeó, es un fallo recurrente por lo que no lo arreglé, no es el que tienes aunque tenga las mismas características. Busca información sobre el M.Zuiko Digital ED 9-18 mm F4.0-5.6, porque su diseño parece que encierra el mismo problema con la conexión de un cable que falla al cabo de un tiempo.

En mi caso que se estropee un objetivo con una probabilidad 'moderada' me produce cierta incomodidad, por decirlo muy suavemente.

La cámara la compré principalmente para paisaje, el 12-40 mm 2.8 en sustitución del roto y me gusta, aunque algo voluminoso y pesado para mi filosofía por lo que me planteé hace poco ese 9-18mm, hasta que lo descarté por lo que he leído en alguna página. También llegar a 40mm y la luminosidad han ayudado a que me 'acostumbre' a cargar con él  . Si como dicen está sellado (no lo voy a probar) junto con un cuerpo que resista el polvo, las salpicaduras y la congelación como dicen de la OM-D E-M1 Mark II-I, se le puede sacar a tomar el aire fresco con mayor tranquilidad en determinadas circunstancias.

También estoy mirando el Laowa para hacer nocturnas y llevar un objetivo más pequeño y ligero, aunque es fijo y manual. Pero 50mmx50mm sin parasol y 170gr le hacen muy sexy  :-*

Pues vaya!! me dejas con la mosca detrás de la oreja con lo que comentas del 9-18, yo lo tengo y de momento funciona bien, nunca había oído hablar de ese problema que comentas, tocaré madera.

A mi también me has quitado el sueño con eso que comentas sobre el 9-18, Zyclope. Yo hace poco pille uno de segunda mano y bastante atrotinado que de momento funciona perfectamente, esperemos que dure algunos añitos...

Es un problema conocido en algunos objetivos, un cable que al extender y retraerse el objetivo si hay poco espacio falla. Con el mío al retraerse y extenderse cada vez que se encendía la cámara pues estaba cantado. Con el 9-18 si no se usa demasiado el zoom podría durar más. Quizá los vuestros son de una manufactura posterior y Olympus sabiendo del problema hubiera solucionado el fallo.

Es una pena porque aunque tengo el 12-40, el 9-18 por tamaño me atrae más y porque básicamente casi todas mis fotos las hago en ese rango de focal.

Dead Oly 9-18 back from Olympus, and the problem was........

So I was somewhat upset when it developed the "check lens" error. I read up about this on the internet and the consensus seemed to be that it was a fault in the flex cable that moves when the lens extends, or zooms.

The flex cables are available so I took the lens apart. I then discovered that it was well beyond my ability to unsolder and unfold the flex cables. In fact I could not reassemble the zoom mechanism, so the lens stayed in bits.

I then took it to an independent lens repairer (in HK where I live) who could not fix it, but did put it back together (no charge). He said the board was dead.

Here in HK Olympus charge HKD $250 (no refund or offset)  to look at the lens and quote a repair price. So I took the plunge and had it repaired. The total was HKD $1250 and they replaced the "board and motor". No mention of flex cables. The g'tee length is 3 months.
In the UK there is a fixed repair price of GBP 139.95 inc courier return, and with a 6mth g'tee I think.

Anyways it's great to have the lens back.

I have the 9-18 and it has been OK but not fantastic - it was after all the only choice at the time I bought it, and it wasn't hugely expensive.

I have concerns about the longevity of the lens, as I do for all the collapsing lenses from Olympus. There have been several reports of a ribbon cable failure for both the 9-18 and the 14-42 lenses from that era.

The 9-18 mm is quite sharp. Even though I am a keen pixel-peeper, my 9-18mm is sharp enough. And, unlike with teles, there is little need to crop shots from UWA, so absolute sharpness is not that critical.

The flexcable in my 9-18mm broke after 4 years, and it cost $150 to fix it (Oly lens repair flat fee.) I have been using the lens a lot, and have sometimes been obsessively and completely unnecessarily extending and then retracting the lens. In the future I will be a bit more careful with it. Also, I hope the new flexcable is more durable than the old one.

Hi friends,
I'm on a two month trip to central America and have olympus om-d e-m5 Mark II.
after a few days, my olympus 9-18 gave me this error message trying to focus on the longer focal range. It started by giving me this error on 15-18 range, then after a week also for 14mm and now it gives it to me right away...
When I'm in manual focus I get no error message but trying to focus manually will give it to me as well.

I have two other lenses that function great so it's probably not a camera issue, but I desperately need this lens as my only wide angle lens.

El otro día me falló el 9-18 de forma insperada.

Aparece en la pantalla de la EM5 el siguiente mensaje:

"Please check the status of a lens"

Aparece despues de enceder y al primer intento de enfoque automático.
Si tras encender pongo en manual el enfoque, se puede enfocar y no da error.

Tiene menos de un año por lo que está en garantía. Mañana hablaré con Olympus para enviarlo.

Pero es la primera vez que me ocurre algo así con una cámara o un objetivo.

¿Os a ocurrido esto con este objetivo?
